Main Hall

The 'Main Hall' is approximately 7.8m (25.5ft) wide x 17.5m (57.5ft) long with a polished sprung maple wood floor suitable for dancing. Having no steps, except for those onto the stage, and having a unisex "accessible toilet", the Hall is suitable for use by disabled persons. This toilet also has baby changing facilities. There is a moveable safety gate that may be fixed in place across the access corridor for children's safety, along with similar fixed gates protecting the steps for the stage.

The hall has a 7.5m (24.6ft) wide x 3.7m (12ft) deep raised stage, with drawable curtains and with adequate electrical power supplies, suitable for theatrical functions and shows. Dressing room facilities may be obtained by temporarily partitioning off the side alcove of the hall adjacent to the stage. Access to the stage is via two sets of stairs as shown in the above photograph. The stairs are gated for children's safety. There is also a tuned piano available for use.

The hall has a public address system, which is available for use by hirers upon request. A large screen, white board/flip chart and projector stand are available for audio visual presentations.

There are 20 rectangular folding tables, four square tables and four rectangular trestle tables provided for use, along with 150 chairs with padded seats and backs. In addition, upon request, there are ten green baize covered games tables available for use for whist drives and other card and table games.

There is also a small selection of chairs and tables for use by pre-school chilldren up to infants and four upholstered chairs with arms for use by the elderly and/or infirmed who are unable to use the normal chairs.
