Job Description

Teynham Community Hall is a well-established and much loved Hall which has served the village for over half a century. Having followed the family tradition and looked after the Hall since the Parish Council acquired it over a decade ago, our present cleaner, due to ill health, has decided it is time to call it a day. We are therefore looking for a self-employed cleaner with experience of vacuuming, brushing, mopping, polishing a large Hall and cleaning toilets and kitchens etc. They will be flexible with a good eye for detail with high standards and expectations; a person who takes pride in their work.

Whilst the job will involve weekends, there is room for some flexibility about hours to be worked.

We are looking ideally for a self-employed individual and would consider job share. We pay national living wage of £10.42 per hour, 5 hours per week. Hours are to be spread out over two days in the week, including weekends, having regard to the hire of the Hall. Possibly up to 2 extra hours a week may be required occasionally.

We would like someone who can work 3 hours Sunday mornings 8-11am and 2 hours Wednesday 5-7pm as we have to work around hall bookings.
